Waakye prepared with bulgurium wheat which can be served with shito and stew

  • Sauce Pan
  • Wooden Spatula
  • Measuring Cup


  • Cups Red Beans Washed
  • Cups Bulgurium Wheat
  • Litres Water
  • 1 Tsp Salt Optional


  • Pour washed red beans into a saucepan over medium heat, add 1 litre of water and let it boil for 25 minutes or until partially cooked.
  • Add the washed Bulgurium whole wheat, 500ml of water, stir, turn down the wheat and let it cook for another 25 minutes.
  • Bulgurium wheat waakye ready to serve.
