We had to do it for our vegan fans😄⁣
This recipe is unbelievably flavorful and delicious.⁣It tastes and feels just like the regular shito we only

  • Sauce Pan
  • Wooden Spatula
  • Glass Container


  • 700 g coconut oil
  • 200 g tomato paste
  • 1 large onion puree
  • 1 bulb of garlic, puree
  • 1 cup blended scotch bonnet pepper
  • ½ cup blended ginger
  • 1 cup coconut flakes
  • 1 tsp ground coriander
  • 1 tsp ground African orchid nutmeg
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp rosemary
  • 1 tbsp salt


  • Heat the coconut oil in a saucepan over medium heat, add the tomato paste, stir and let simmer for 5 minutes, add the onion and garlic puree, stir and let simmer down for 8 minutes
  • Add the blended scotch bonnet pepper, ginger, stir and let simmer for 7 minutes then add the coconut flakes
  • Add the ground coriander, African orchid nutmeg, smoked paprika, rosemary, salt, stir and let simmer for 20 minutes
  • Vegan shito ready to serve



Kid-Friendly Adaptation: Small amount of pepper  must be used
