Equipment
- Sauce Pan
- Wooden Spatula
- Glass Container
Ingredients
- 700 g coconut oil
- 200 g tomato paste
- 1 large onion puree
- 1 bulb of garlic, puree
- 1 cup blended scotch bonnet pepper
- ½ cup blended ginger
- 1 cup coconut flakes
- 1 tsp ground coriander
- 1 tsp ground African orchid nutmeg
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp rosemary
- 1 tbsp salt
Instructions
- Heat the coconut oil in a saucepan over medium heat, add the tomato paste, stir and let simmer for 5 minutes, add the onion and garlic puree, stir and let simmer down for 8 minutes
- Add the blended scotch bonnet pepper, ginger, stir and let simmer for 7 minutes then add the coconut flakes
- Add the ground coriander, African orchid nutmeg, smoked paprika, rosemary, salt, stir and let simmer for 20 minutes
- Vegan shito ready to serve
