
Chicken Liver Rice
Braised rice prepared with chicken liver and garnished with lemon slice.

Ingredients
- 3 Tbsp Rice Bran Oil
- 1 Tsp Fennel Seeds
- 1 Medium Onion Diced
- 1 Small Ginger Chopped
- 2 Cloves of Garlic Minced
- 200 G Chicken Liver
- 1 Tsp Ground Black Pepper
- 1 Tsp Salt
- 6 Scotch Bonnet Peppers Chopped
- 1 Tsp Smoked Paprika
- 6 Fresh Basil leaves
- 2 Cups Rice
- 500 ml Water
Instructions
- Heat rice bran oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Add fennel seeds, onion, ginger, garlic, and stir until translucent.
- Add the chicken liver, black pepper, salt, and stir–fry for 5 minutes. Add smoked paprika, fresh basil and stir.
- Add the rice, braise for 3 minutes, then add water, adjust salt to your taste and cover and allow it to cook for 25 minutes.
- Chicken liver rice ready to serve. Garnish with slice of lemon.
