
Pilau
Braised basmati rice prepared with tumeric powder and chicken stock

Ingredients
- 2 Cups Basmati Rice
- 1 Medium Onion Sliced
- 1 Tsp Cumin Seeds
- 1 Tsp Fennel Seeds
- 1 Tsp Ground Cinnamon
- 1 Tsp Turmeric
- 3 Cloves of Garlic Minced
- 2 Medium Irish Potato Chopped
- 5 Cardamom Pods
- 2 Cups Chicken Stock
- 1 Cloves
- 3 Tbsp Vegetable Oil
- 1 Tbsp Salt
Instructions
- Heat vegetable oil in a saucepan over medium heat, add sliced onions and stir until caramelized.
- Then add garlic potatoes and stir-fry for 2 minutes.
- Add cloves, cardamom pods, cumin seeds, fennel seeds, ground cinnamon turmeric and stir-fry for a few minutes.
- Add washed basmati rice, stir to coat evenly, then add chicken stock, salt, stir and let boil for 15-20 minutes.
- Pilau rice ready to serve.
