Season the deveined prawns with ginger powder, garlic, basil, black pepper, salt, stir and let sit to marinate for 30 minutes.
Pour the groundnut paste into a saucepan over medium heat, add the onion puree, stir and let simmer until cooked through for 5 – 7 minutes.
Add the coconut milk, stir in then add water, stir and add the cayenne pepper, salt, stir and let simmer down for 7 minutes.
Add the marinated prawns, garlic, ginger, chopped red chilli, stir and let simmer for 5 minutes.
Prawns coconut peanut soup ready to serve.
