Equipment

  • Glass Mixing Bowl
  • Ceramic serving platter
  • Deep Frying Pan

Ingredients
  

  • ½ kg pork
  • 1 tbsp chives (chopped)
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper (room temperature)
  • 1 tsp ground anise seeds
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 tbsp paprika smoked
  • 1 egg for eggwash
  • 300 ml chilli infused vegetable oil
  • 1 cup green pepper sauce

Instructions
 

  • On a chopping board cut and chop up the pork until almost fine mince and place in a bowl
  • Add chopped chives, black pepper, cayenne pepper, ground anise seeds, soy sauce, salt, stir to mix evenly then cover with cling film and set aside to marinate for 30 minutes
  • Season the breadcrumbs with smoked paprika and salt then set aside
  • Scoop a handful of the pork mixture and mould into a golf ball like size then dip in the eggwash then coat evenly with the seasoned breadcrumbs
  • Place in a frying basket and carefully place in the chilli infused vegetable oil and fry until golden for 10 minutes. Take out and place on a paper towel to drain excess oil
  • Pour into a mixing bowl, add the green pepper sauce then stir to coat evenly
  • Pork bon bon ready to serve
