Ingredients

  • 1 medium tuber of yam
  • 500ml vegetable oil
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 1 tbsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder

Directions

  1. Peel and cut the yam into four equal parts
  2. Heat the vegetable oil and carefully grate the yam sheets into the oil
  3. Fry until slightly golden and crispy, take out of the oil, place on a paper tissue to drain excess oil
  4. Season with salt, smoked paprika, garlic powder and toss to coat evenly
  5. Yam chips ready to serve. Serve with any dip of your choice
