TATALE SANDWICH

Ingredients

  • 3 fingers of ripe plantain
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • 1 tsp cloves
  • 1 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • 50ml water
  • ½ cup rice flour
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • ¼ cup vegetable oil
  • ½ small Cabbage, shredded
  • 1 medium tomato, diced
  • 1 small Onion, diced
  • 200g canned flaked tuna
  • ½ tsp ground black pepper
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise

Directions

  1. Pour the ripe plantain into a blender, add garlic, coves, ground black pepper, dried oregano, ground ginger, water and blend into a smooth mixture
  2. Pour into a mixing bowl, add rice flour, salt and stir in
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium , scoop a spoonful of the plantain mixture into the pan and fry until golden for 3 minutes on both sides and set aside
  4. In a small bowl, mix the cabbage, tomato, onion, flaked tuna, black pepper and mayonnaise
  5. Place one portion of the tatale on a serving platter, scoop a spoonful of the cabbage mixture on and topped with another portion of tatale
  6. Tatale sandwich ready to be served
