SAUSAGE ROLLS

SERVES 6-8


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 200g butter, softened.
  • 4 tbsp cold water
  • 1 pack chicken sausages
  • 1 large egg, for wash

Directions

  1. Pour all the dry ingredients into the flour and mix together
  2. Add the butter, rub in until a breadcrumb like mixture and add the cold water and mix into a dough
  3. Lightly sprinkle flour on a flat surface and roll the dough into a inch thick layer and cut out into your desired shape
  4. Place the chicken sausage on each cut out dough, wrap and seal off with each wash
  5. Place on a parchment lined baking pan and brush with the remaining egg wash
  6. Bake in a pre-heated oven at 170c for 20 minutes
  7. Sausage rolls ready to serve. Best serve warm
