BEETROOT ANGWA MO

Ingredients

  • 4 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 2 cups long grain rice
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup beetroot puree
  • 100ml water

Directions

  1. Heat vegetable oil in a saucepan over medium heat, add sliced onions, stir until slightly golden.
  2. Add the rice, salt, stir and braise for 5 minutes then add the beetroot puree and stir in.
  3. Add water, stir, cover and let cook for 25- 30 minutes.
  4. Beetroot angwa mo rice ready to serve
